The girl in the shopping mall .

It was Friday morning.

´Another boring day at college,´ Pete thought.

´Nothing exciting happens to me. I want something exciting to happen. I want to meet a beautiful girl.´

It was a fine summer morning. The streets of the big city were busy. Pete did not hurry. ´I want the new story by Stephen King´, he thought. ´I´ll get it now.¨

He walked into a large shopping mall. There was a big bookshop in the mall. Pete bought the Stephen King book and came out of the shop.  

Then something exciting did happen!

A girl ran through the crowd of people in the mall. She ran towards Pete. She had short blonde hair and small round glasses. She was very pretty. And she had a camera in her hand. But something was wrong!

Pete looked carefully at the girl´s face. `She´s afraid,´he thought.

`Why is she afraid?´

Suddenly, the girl ran up to Pete. She pushed something into his hand! 

Pete started to speak. `Hey! What –?´

But the girl ran away. She disappeared into the crowd.

Pete looked at the thing in his hand. `This is a film cassette,´he trought. `Why did she give me this?´

A minute later, Pete saw a man pushing through the crowd. He was in a hurry and he was looking for somebody.

`Is he looking for the girl?´Pete asked himself. `Or is he looking for a thing, not for a person?´Is he looking for a film cassette?´

Pete quickly put the film cassette into his pocket. 

The big man´s face was angry and worried. He looked at the faces of the people in the mall. He looked carefully at Pete. Then he hurried away.

`That man is looking for the girl,´Pete thought.

`Why? She was afraid of him. She gave me the film. Does he want to get the film? This is a puzzle.

´Pete took the cassette out of his pocket and he looked at it again.

`Can I solve the puzzle?´he asked himself. `I´m going to try to solve it! I want to see the pictures on this film.´

Pete went to a big department store.

Then he went to take the photos of the film and while waiting to receive them, he confirmed the newspaper and after an hour he received the photos in which he found a picture of the girl who had handed him the cassette, and another of a man delivering an envelope to another man in a dark suit. In the photo of the girl was only she accompanied by a girl and a boy.

Pete very thoughtful sat on a bench and kept the newspaper while thinking: What these pictures mean? Why did that big man chase the beautiful girl? Then he went home.

 

The next day he went out to buy some things and while he was in a nearby store, to his surprise he found the girl and said: The other day give you something Can you return it to me?

He replied: Not until you tell me why that man was after you and what is the meaning of the photos?

Then she began to explain to him that this big man was a murderer who was following her and wanted to kill her so he had to help her escape him. And convinced Pete went with Any to his house to deliver the envelope with the photos and the cassette.

But while they were going to Pete's house they felt that someone was following them and when they looked back they saw that it was the big man, so they ran until they got to Pete's house and closed the door. But the big man started banging on the door and yelling for them to open and Pete handed the photos and cassette to Any and told him to go up to his room and hide.

Then Pete opened the door and the big man threw Pete on the ground and told him he was a secret police agent and that he was looking for the girl because she was one of the country's biggest criminals and that the photos were evidence of a murder and the cassette had the copies.

And Pete felt the worst sensation of his life when he remembered that his mother was home, so he ran very fast but when he got upstairs he found his dead mother killed by Any and a blood poster on the wall that said: Thanks for the favor.

After that tragedy, Pete committed suicide and the police took three years to find the whereabouts of Any.
